It took us about 5.5 months.
@Curly: These are the cheapest ground protection mats I found. Personally, I would prefer rubber mats, but they were too expensive for me at the start.

You should definitely make sure to insist on the ventilation unit being suspended with good sound insulation. The devices are quite noisy already, and if you're unlucky, the noise can be transmitted to neighboring rooms...

we are getting a fairly large / powerful device with a corresponding rotation speed. The device will be placed in the attic. I want to put rubber mats underneath to reduce vibrations. I hope this will be enough to avoid noise disturbances in the bedrooms. Otherwise, more complex decoupling measures will need to be added later...
