Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Hi blaupuma,
as far as I can tell from the photo, it was taken during the installation since you can see adhesive combed on at the back.
If that’s the case, it also shows no leveling system was used. It’s not absolutely necessary, but warped tiles (which 60x60 always tend to be) cannot be leveled on all four corners otherwise.
I’m glad you were lucky and got a good tile installer, and as I said, maybe it’s not his fault if the tiles have poor calibration values (usually indicated by a rating number on the tile package). In that case, he’s just doing the best he can. From the picture, I only noticed the grout lines were uneven (referring to the grout lines themselves), plus no leveling system and no perimeter edge insulation strip. For me, those were three initial points that didn’t seem right.
There were tips about the edge insulation strip, and the other points depend on several factors we don’t know.

I find it fascinating how a staircase is constructed...

Open excavation with wooden formwork, steel reinforcement, and red support frames; view looking down.

It’s fascinating, but most of the time it doesn’t fit... with us, something was cut off, and with friends, 10cm (4 inches) was added on top of everything with concrete... but well, something like that is a minor issue when building.

Today the tile installer started with the floor.... (not grouted yet)

Our tiles look exactly the same.

Okay, this isn’t really a HOUSE image in the strict sense – but isn’t the gravel nice?! (Just kidding)
You can already see quite well the different heights of the three concrete slabs.
