Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Our excavation pit is almost finished; only the bottom right corner still needs to be removed. This should be done by tonight:

Construction site with excavation and foundation work; workers working on the ground in front of a white tarp

Large construction site with excavator, earthworks, pit, and single-family home neighborhood in the background

In the evening, the batter boards were set up:

Two construction workers working in an excavation pit on foundation construction.

Two construction workers on a site next to a white tarp; tools lying on the ground.

Construction site with white protective foil over trench; worker standing on red ladder in front of house

However, it rained last night. So excavating the last corner is likely to be quite messy...

@Climbee: The workers clearly seem to be enjoying themselves!

That's how it should be

But this is the builder (my soon-to-be husband) and the boss in person, and admittedly, we always have fun together.

The screed has been walkable since today. This is what it looks like.

Empty, unfinished interior with raw concrete floor, blue tape on the walls and windows.

Basement room with concrete floor, pipes on the wall and a distribution box on the right.

Small technical room with cables, yellow hoses, and a red device on the back wall.

Construction room with exposed underfloor heating: spiral pipes in the floor area, walls are light-colored.

And here are the flat roofs that have been waterproofed in the meantime, so hopefully no more water will penetrate now.

Narrow construction pit at the balcony in the shell, visible wall edge.

Flat roof of a building structure with scaffolding, waterproofing, and surrounding edge visible.

Flat roof with wet waterproofing, construction foil, and edge strip.

Wet flat roof with puddles next to an external wall; visible roof waterproofing.

And finally, the garage door that has been installed in the meantime.
