Whether it was worth it or not is fortunately a matter of personal perception. That’s exactly what I meant: from the inside, the pointed arches are barely noticeable because the view at the top is simply "cut off" straight.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

About a week or so. It’s a bit further away, so we can’t go daily—my partner works, and we have a small baby.
Honestly, I don’t know how other builders manage to be on-site almost every day. Someone has to work to pay the loan, after all. XD
We’ll see, I’m still not sure if it will disappear. Most of the dark spots could be wiped away with a finger, but the black streak in the first picture is not that easy to remove. No idea if this is any consolation, but we’re in the same situation. Both working full-time, child means full days.
We visit the site every weekend. The rest is handled by our architect/site manager.

We go out of town every weekend. The rest is handled by our architect/construction manager. So it’s not just us then. Sometimes I read other blogs and think, “I wish I could be as present on the construction site.” But that’s why we hired a general contractor we’ve heard good things about. We hope we can rely on them.

How far from work is your build? For us, about 25-30 minutes. But with corona and working from home, it’s more like the distance from our old apartment to the new one, which is closer to 40 minutes. We sometimes go during lunch breaks, but with almost 1.5 hours of driving plus time spent on site, you can’t do that every day. Those hours then need to be caught up on in the evening.
I am on the construction site at least every day after work – it’s a 200m (650 feet) walk from my place to the site, and honestly: if it were different and I couldn’t constantly talk to the tradespeople, I don’t think I would feel as confident that everything is being done correctly. If something comes up, I get a call and can be there within 2 minutes. I really respect those who have the patience to not visit the site for a whole week.
