A bidet probably won’t fit in our bathroom due to space constraints, so I’m looking for an alternative. Take a look at the "TECEone."
We originally planned to install these hygiene spray showers, but we ran into the same problem as @Climbee—mostly you only find poor-quality options locally. The plumber saw the same and recommended the above "shower toilet."
We initially planned it just for the main bathroom, but we liked it so much that we ordered one for the guest bathroom as well!

Somehow, I want to be in control of the water jet that I use for cleaning myself.

We originally wanted to install these hygiene bidet showers as well but ran into the same issue as @Climbee – most of what’s available here is low quality. Our plumber saw it the same way and recommended the above "shower toilet" instead.

I will ask the stair builder about that, because it really doesn’t look good at all.vx220: If you get a response, I would be very interested to hear it!
I’m currently trying to get a statement from another glazing company – of course, they don’t have to say anything, and one crow won’t pluck the other's eye out. But I can hope...
@Climbee: You wouldn't tell just by looking at that toilet; maybe except for the two rotary knobs on the sides.
As for controlling the spray: you can adjust the intensity and temperature continuously, but the positioning has to be done by the user (wiggling your bottom). I guess it’s the same with any bidet spray—somehow, you have to position it under yourself.
@tumaa: Which "ridges" are you talking about?
