Somehow, I still don’t like all the surface-mounted fittings in the bathroom (shower and bathtub)...Then go for concealed fittings. There is plenty of choice for everything.Stefan890 schrieb:
Are you using the version with coating (Keratect) or without? I'm still unsure whether the coating might wash off after some time.WithoutOur shell construction is almost finished; the topping-out ceremony is on Wednesday.

This weekend, we started pulling the first cables…

The first electrical boxes have been plastered in (43 so far out of about 200).

Parts of the roof framework have been installed.

I’ve also started painting the basement rooms. We decided not to plaster the concrete walls since they are just storage rooms (holes will be filled later and the finishing touches are still missing).

So far, we are ahead of schedule. Some trades had to start earlier than planned, so we’re quite satisfied.

I’ve been knocked out by a stomach virus...
In the meantime, the bathrooms are almost finished!
Nice to have the toilet already installed

Even though there’s a toilet paper roll next to it, it’s unfortunately not operational yet. We used the roll to measure where the toilet paper holder should go.
One more important detail:

What’s frustrating is that we ordered Sigma 70 actuator plates (Geberit) in coordination with the plumber (who received the equity list before I ordered), but the flush tank is Omega from Geberit, so the two actuator plates don’t fit.
Since I ordered this back in April, I probably can’t return the parts anymore. I will try to arrange a goodwill return but don’t have much hope. If not, we’ll have to come to an agreement with the builder. I believe this was discussed and he should have either informed us to order Omega actuator plates (he said the Sigma flush tank wouldn’t fit) or now has to accept the plates if we can’t return them.
The worst part is: the Omega actuator plates look awful – the Sigma 70 looks great, clean, white glass. Omega also comes in white glass but with a stainless steel frame. We really don’t like that. But we’ll have to accept it.
So if anyone here needs one (or better two) Geberit Sigma 70 actuator plates in white glass – please get in touch. I have two available *grin*
Also, a shower connection elbow and the bathtub faucet don’t fit (despite prior agreement). Small things but annoying. Maybe I’m only so annoyed because otherwise everything is running really smoothly for us – so it’s these little things that get to me.
The shower in the guest bathroom is almost finished:

The tiles in the drain channel and the two LED strips on the sides are still missing, but then this shower will be ready to use!
The shower in the main bathroom is the one with the mismatched connection elbow – the connection for the hand shower is all the way to the right. In my opinion, that’s already very far to the right. The elbow I ordered has a rosette with 95mm (3.7 inches), but only a rosette with 80mm (3.1 inches) fits if the LED strip is not to be covered. So I’ve reordered and now we just have to wait *hm*:

Finally, the shading on the windows has been installed:

…after the heatwave, not quite as urgently needed anymore...

Do you have hand showers next to the toilets? ops: I don’t think it’s a bad idea..... A bidet probably won’t fit in our space, so I’m looking for an alternative.
@Climbee is there anything I should consider?
