Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

@Josephine2489 By the way, what is your roof pitch?

Gable 62 degrees, roof pitch plus half-hipped roof 40 degrees.

Why?

Scaffolding is up, the external window sills arrived on Wednesday. Now we’re waiting for the plasterers...
Will they still do the plastering this year?

I always thought it was up to a maximum of 5°C (41°F)…
Isn’t it already too cold at night?

The adhesive for the insulation requires a component temperature of 5°C (41°F). There are adhesives for exterior plaster that work at lower temperatures. This was explained to us last year by the plasterer and the expert.

At night soon it will be too cold, right?

The workers are on it; I just spoke with them over coffee. They said everything is fine, the base coat plastering will definitely be done. That would be enough for us before "winter"...

Today I ordered a Jablotron alarm system and also bought a mailbox.

Moving in is not until April, but the anticipation...

Looking forward to it is great, but April still feels so far away.

I definitely wanted a parcel box because I was tired of book deliveries, for example, never fitting into the regular mailbox.

We now have an Allux 600, which fits shoeboxes well, and that’s enough for me. It was the cheapest one I found online – I didn’t want to spend a four-figure amount on a box.
