Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

We’re not in the criticism and complaining thread here... but in the photos, berny, the spacing of the installation does look quite uneven. Good that someone is keeping an eye on it.

I understand, I only ever see everything through photos, cannot measure anything myself on site, and I’m usually just glad that after 3 months of winter break work is finally moving forward again. Although on site I probably would have noticed only 6 to 8 of the 16 issues mentioned in the report myself. The text was simply meant as advice with the independent construction supervision... with a new build there are so many aspects and trades that even with daily personal site visits a layperson could never notice them all.

I’m definitely glad about it: it costs about 1% of the total construction costs and in my opinion is very well spent money. More pictures will follow here soon...

Today, the excavator knocked over the foundation wall.

If you mean those extremely questionable steel reinforcements standing in front of the basement, I'm not even a bit surprised. And absolutely not! I would never, ever have them "reinstalled" in the same way.

So starting Monday, we can walk on our screed [emoji7]
Empty interior corridor with concrete floor, passage to bright window front and outside view.

Unfinished hallway of a construction project: red support beam on the right, empty floor, glass window at the end.

Great @Eldea [emoji106][emoji898]

How long did your construction take up to that point? And how much longer will it need to dry?

It needs to dry out to a very light gray color, ventilate well, and heat it gently. Give it a month to dry before continuing with the flooring. Or is it a fast-setting screed with additives? Karsten
