Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Recklessly, we took down the sandbox before Christmas. It wasn’t interesting for them, and here it often simply froze. Right now, the big attraction is feeding ducks and wild geese in the stream across the street and then climbing on the wheelchair ramp at the town hall.
The landscaping at the new house is not done yet, and it’s open to the main road, so I don’t want to set up there. Hmm, although I could put up the construction fence in the narrow spot, then it would be closed off.

Near the main road, I would also only set up playground equipment with a fence.

The portable toilet and stones are already there [emoji16]. Let’s see if it gets warmer soon so we can get started.
Construction site scene: blue portable toilet in the foreground, yellow YTONG blocks on the left, bare trees.

I like snow. Honestly.

But when my foundation slab is about to be poured, it can take a break... - Let's see what the site manager says today.

I don’t like snow. Just got too much of it while pulling up the roller shutter *grumble.. wonder if the topping-out ceremony will still happen before Easter....

According to the weather forecasts for the coming weeks, there is little improvement in sight...

In late summer 2017, we were still joking about having a "harsh" winter again. Now the building permit / planning permission has been granted since December, and it has been freezing almost continuously.

Our structural engineers had already started 3 projects at the same time last year – this year, nothing has happened yet.

It’s slowly becoming time to avoid rushing at the end of the year.

The snow was melted using torches, and the concrete slab was poured. So everything is fine on my side.

Best regards,
