Explain, I didn’t understand the comment?
- The front door will be installed in mid-June
- The fireplace insert will be installed within 1–2 weeks
- The mechanical ventilation system will start operating next week
So what is the showstopper if you’re moving in on July 14th already? It’s difficult to change something like a window that is not completely sealed because everything is already installed and finished.
You will come in under 1.5, and that will be sufficient.

It’s sufficient for KFW. Many people I know only take the test around the completion/handover date.
Nothing must go wrong, though. Achieving 1.5 is probably realistic. haydee schrieb:

You will go below 1.5, and that’s enough. As you said, everything is finished except for the doors, floors, and final installation of plumbing/electrical. There won’t be any surprises; it’s not like this is my first time being in the house after 8 months of construction.
As haydee writes, this is of course sufficient for the KfW requirements at handover.
It makes more sense, however, to do it before the interior finishing.
If you now have drafts through the fittings and ceiling spotlights on the upper floor, you will hardly want to tear down tiles and drywall again.

No, you know your house.
Just because it is airtight according to the test doesn’t mean it feels airtight.
For the KfW, passing is enough, no matter how.
If the test is done too early, you may have to test twice. That was the case for us, but we also planned to meet below 0.6.

As haydee says, it’s obviously sufficient at handover.
But logically, it’s done before the interior finishing.
If you hear whistling through the fittings and ceiling spotlights on the upper floor now, you probably won’t tear down tiles and drywall again. What drywall, which ceiling spotlights? Sorry, I generally understand what you mean, but I really can’t read these random examples anymore. Let’s just wait for the airtightness test.
If I had followed the comments from 1.5–2 years ago, I would have a construction wreck by now.
