Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

That would be less noticeable if the small gap between the roof and the window sill wasn’t further divided by the surface-mounted metal sheet.

You’ve hit a bit of a sore spot for me there. This is one aspect of our house that I’m not completely happy with. It does look somewhat awkward, but no one could really tell me how to improve it.
That’s why I mentioned it to the architect in the “What would we do better next time?” thread.
We tried shifting, enlarging, and reducing the windows—all looked strange. Combined with the flat roof over the ledge, it looked even worse. But we needed that ledge, otherwise the living room wouldn’t have been large enough.

However, we’ve learned to live with it very well today...

Best regards,
Andreas

Apart from my one criticism (which most viewers would not notice without being pointed out), the house is really well done. Basdscho.

A truly stylish urban villa.
I’m not a fan of plastered houses (I’m from northern Germany) and urban villas don’t really appeal to me either, but this one looks really elegant [emoji106]

So, the electrical work has started at our site. Let’s see, the plumbing is also scheduled to begin this week.
Concrete rough-in stairs with wooden railing, unfinished walls and exposed electrical wiring in the basement area.

Unfinished interior of a shell construction with damp spots, wall pipes and window front.

Shell interior: white block walls, exposed cables on walls and floor, installations still open.

Interior view of a construction site: shell structure with white walls, loose cables, door opening.

Construction site: interior with green drywall partition, pipes, concrete column and open passage.

Unplastered construction space: aerated concrete wall, concrete column, gray foil on floor, yellow cables.

We actually asked about that too [emoji28] I looked it up a bit yesterday, and it seems it’s not unusual nowadays.

Just hope nothing will be visible later on [emoji16]
