Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Hello Steffi33,

where is the dining table from? I really find it extremely beautiful.
I also like everything else very much. Great interior design!
Thanks!!

@Steffi33 Your gray hallway looks really nice! How wide did you make the white stripe on the wall at the top?

Best regards,
Sabine

Not that expensive... we ordered it from Home24. The surface was a bit rough at first, but we simply sanded it again and then treated it with linseed oil varnish. The X-shaped legs were important to me... you can sit anywhere around the table without the legs getting in the way.

By the way, only the kitchen, the dining table, the bunk bed, and the bathroom cabinet are new. Everything else is between 10 and 20 years old and still fits well in the house. What I want to say is... it doesn’t always have to be brand new, and you don’t have to follow every trend.

6 cm (2.4 inches). But somehow I don’t really like the stripe... next time I might leave it out. But it’s no big deal... it stays as is.

Best regards, Steffi

But aren’t they in the way??!
I also thought about getting a table like that (with metal X-legs), but you can’t sit at the edge, right?! You have to accept those 30/40 cm (12/16 inches) beside you on the long side so someone can sit at the short side, or am I wrong?
Can you sit where the X has its legs?

Wow, everything is so tidy at Steffi’s place. And it looks great, of course.
