Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

@annab377 Uh, maybe one page earlier, not too far back? So 1267...

There were pictures before, but they don’t seem to be here anymore, and the floor plan discussion is also "empty."

Real terrazzo is anything but cheap and is hardly done anymore nowadays. Whether it is affordable is something you have to decide for yourself.

I don’t know how much terrazzo tiles cost.

Of course, both have to fit, but it makes more sense to plan from the inside out, meaning you should make compromises more on the outside. After all, where do you spend most of your time, inside or outside the building?
Most likely inside the house, but if there is not enough natural light (windows and glass doors), my well-being suffers.

Hello everyone, I removed the pictures earlier because I didn’t want to share everything anymore. I will also delete these again after a while.
Regarding terrazzo, real terrazzo flooring was just under €300 per square meter (around $320 per square meter), the tiles from Roca were €32 per square meter (about $34 per square meter) without installation. We love these tiles because you don’t see every little crumb on the floor. The wall tiles were also installed individually, which our tiler wasn’t too happy about.
Otherwise, thanks for the positive feedback. Maybe this will give someone some ideas. If you have any questions, just ask.
Best regards

I find the wall bars in the bathroom and the dark shower a bit confusing. But I like the open views, and having the brickwork on the inside is a nice detail.

The Swedish ladder rack serves as our towel holder since we didn’t want a heated towel rail. The shower area isn’t exactly dark, but naturally darker than it would be with a glass wall.

The base cabinets are not from Godmo..., but custom-made by the carpenter. However, they look very similar. In hindsight, we could have also chosen the ones from Ikea.
