Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Do you and the other end of the row view it more positively or negatively that there is still no house there? I think it’s pleasant and might stay that way for a few more years. For now, each of you has a detached single-family house. Maybe in the medium term, one of you could buy half of the plot at a reasonable price if the municipality can’t sell it, or is there some kind of building obligation? It seems some interested buyers have already dropped out.

It is already sold, and we know the neighbor. Of course, it was easier for our general contractor to build without a neighbor nearby. However, it will get quite interesting later when they have to build into that gap. Especially considering the cantilevered floor slabs.

Thank you, I had forgotten that. I only remembered the previous owners/potential buyers who backed out.

I took advantage of the good weather to finish the entrance for this year.
Nothing major, but it already looks quite different. Planted some yews, installed two lights, and filled the splash guard...

Sure! However, the general contractor edited the photo – not necessarily for the better. Here is the original (the man with the drone was kind enough to send me the photos):

Best regards

It looks much better. Photoshop is not a cure-all.

No, it was not available at Christmas. But it might be the solution for our many fixed glass panels on the upper floor.

We are also on the construction site today, and the living room has just received its first coat of paint. Here’s the other side of our living room. It will be this white, but I don’t think it will stay that way. It looks a bit clinical. Let’s see how it feels once the furniture is in. Tomorrow, I will start laying the floor.
