Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

What are the arguments (besides the fact that it would be the “normal” time) in favor of permanent standard time?

The fact that with daylight saving time in winter, it doesn’t get light until around 10:00/10:30 a.m., which is difficult for everyone who has to go outside and work, not to mention the students. Natural light regulates our sleep-wake cycle. You need morning light to wake up, and you don't need it in the evening because then it becomes harder to relax.

The photo is about 6.5 years old. But it is a picture in the house photos thread.

and this is what the grey-white cookie-cutter housing landscape looks like in Germany

is this what the local authorities want? Like old East German prefabricated buildings but only two stories high, no one dares to choose a different house color

just for comparison with the image I posted earlier

Is this what the municipality wants? Like GDR prefabricated slab buildings but only two stories high, and no one dares to choose a different house color

Just as a comparison to the picture I posted earlier

I have no idea what you are referring to, but the image/photo/video has very little to do with prefabricated slab buildings. Here, instead of semi-detached houses, one or two rows of terraced houses would be more appropriate, but I bet no buyer would have been found then either, because terraced houses are not seen as adequate, prestigious, or attractive.
