Yes, the major cities in AUS are quite spread out, basically like in LA. What is less ideal is that you usually drive from one suburb to the next. However, there are plenty of parks with ponds, playgrounds, and so on. Something like that hardly existed in Germany, where I lived (Vorderpfalz).

Yes, it is much cleaner than in Germany. You will find very few cigarette butts, as hardly anyone smokes. In Germany, smoking is almost encouraged; nearly every film starts with someone lighting a cigarette. When I still lived in Germany, any child could buy cigarettes from vending machines. I don’t know any other country that had or has cigarette vending machines, maybe some in Eastern Europe. Strange methods to extract money from taxpayers. Here, cigarettes are not visible in stores; they are locked away, and you have to ask for them.

Germany is quite densely populated, which limits certain possibilities. There was once a map that swapped countries so that the population density per square meter was relatively equal. According to that, Germany would have had to be relocated to Canada.

I think it’s nice that countries have different building cultures.

Germany doesn’t hide its beer cans in knitted socks or similar. Cigarette vending machines include age verification.

People can still be trusted to take some personal responsibility. It is well known that alcohol and nicotine are harmful to health. Should sweets and fatty foods also only be sold in back rooms?

Took a look at my village from above. It looks more unique, but much more cramped, almost even bleak.

I feel spoiled with my 6-7 minutes. At our place, Daimler employees commute for up to an hour or more, and if I were to calculate that in money, I would definitely prefer my free time.
