For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

I would be careful with that; I've seen a lot.
You should have someone on your side who keeps an eye on the tradespeople.
Also when it comes to additional services, which are often overpriced.

I know the feeling, every extra socket costs extra...

For overseeing the subcontractors, we have a construction manager, a building surveyor, and within the family, a certified electrician and a certified plumber. So, I am less concerned about that. The additional services are arranged directly with the tradespeople and not through the general contractor, which keeps costs within a regionally typical price range.
