Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Fill the plastic bucket next to the door immediately with salt or grit, otherwise, on icy winter days, you’ll have to crawl on all fours to the garage. But that’s how it is now.

Interior construction site with plastered wall and visible brick door frames

Interior of a construction site with unfinished walls, visible bricks, and construction tools

Interior of a shell construction with smooth wall, raw floor, and blue covering on the ceiling

Interior of a shell construction with two windows, unplastered walls, and visible scaffolding

The plasterers are working on our site right now.
Seeing all the mess makes me grateful that the screed will be laid afterwards @matte1987 [emoji6]

Get a long steel square from a carpenter on loan to check if they have left any hollow walls. This often happens because the workers do it very quickly. You might not notice it yet, but it will become visible later, for example around the door frames. Karsten

There are no Achmeds. And I don’t think you can really call it piecework with two rooms and a storage chamber in one day (preparations were already done the day before).

Still, using an angle tool doesn't hurt. Besides, the chance of achieving a straight wall greatly increases when not working under piecework conditions.
