Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I thought the question in #2753 was why the hose is connected to the distant faucet and now lies around as a tripping hazard, instead of being connected to the nearby faucet on the same wall.

Three pages about a connection, that is the house construction forum.

Other home building forums would probably be fighting over that.

Yes, the water connection isn’t ideal, but it can’t be changed anymore... and since I only connect the hose when I need it, it’s manageable. You just become calmer, and with an architect-designed house, you can’t plan everything perfectly from the start. I don’t think everyone thinks from the beginning about where and how to later fix a hose holder or whether to buy something like that

Well, I’m a bit of a perfectionist and I’m already thinking about where I want my outdoor connections (including a cistern for rainwater, as that might need to be considered during the basement construction)

Well, I have tried all of that too.
If everything works out perfectly for you, that’s great.
But maybe you should already try to deal with things like I do now; otherwise, it will wear you down during the construction process when things don’t go as planned.
I had to learn that as well.

Yes, I’m afraid so too... so far, we are still in the preliminary design phase. Let’s see when reality catches up with me.
