I personally find classic mirrored cabinets rather unattractive, or let’s say, they carry a very nostalgic, outdated vibe. Alibert 😎 That’s definitely outdated!

I don’t know your taste, but try searching for aluminum mirrored cabinets. Nothing nostalgic about those. Just did... the pictures match that description. But it’s really a matter of taste. I already noticed that here. Some photos give me a headache, others just a different feeling 😉

Aside from the fact that I can’t bring myself to suggest aluminum to my wife, I quickly looked it up and still found 95% quite nostalgic.
But no big deal. Yep!

You can tell where it comes from, though — the machinery looks like what we had 100 years ago. Maybe it depends on the type of wood? Where the wood grows, the production takes place? That would make sense in terms of the value chain.
And for anyone who has installed cabinets (not necessarily mirrored cabinets) recessed in drywall in the bathroom: please share your photos, that’s exactly what I’m planning to do...

My idea is that the contractor simply installs a wooden box with a cutout for the power outlet in the drywall, and I would handle making the mirrored doors and shelves myself...

No, wood isn’t always processed where it is grown.
Just look at the amounts of wood coming from Canada. And the pallets that are shipped back again.
@saralina87
We should be glad it’s not like in the 1950s anymore—blue or pink bathroom tiles, and that was it.
