Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I would have expected this view more in the Harz region, looking towards the Brocken.
I also couldn’t stylistically connect the bathroom photos with the laundry chute to these images.
I was missing context: photos of private property located thousands of miles away and a private luxury resort.

Do you happen to have a few more pictures of your house?
My partner wants colorful walls, but I’m not quite sure what to expect...

We actually mostly just used accents, except in the master bathroom.

Kitchen with red cabinets, island, dining table with tulips and red candle.

Bright dining room with round table, mixed chairs, lots of plants and large windows.

Living room with red armchairs, TV, sculpture of a double bass player, many plants.

Estimated 20 million.

It’s a weekend house in Big Sky, Montana, in the Yellowstone Club.

But don’t ask me now how much the membership in this private ski resort costs.

I just checked.

Weekend houses like this are currently listed with prices ranging from 16 to 26 million dollars. :p

Amazing view
I've seen quite a few things before. But this left me speechless for a while. Not just because of the view.

You almost tricked me there. Mille means thousand after all. I was just about to emigrate and list my construction project....

@icandoit I’m not quite sure whether this is your house or your construction site.
I really like how the rooms are oriented toward the amazing view. That’s living in harmony with the inside and outside. Let’s see if the typically German arrangement of a sofa with its back to the window will be used here to watch TV better... – oh wait, there is the media room.

That’s not going to work. Above the fireplace in the living room, there is a retractable LCD screen in widescreen format planned. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a direct view outside. You’ll have to turn your head to the right.

What looks cold and uninviting is, of course, not mine. 😉

With an estimated 1,000 m² (10,764 sq ft) of living space, I would feel quite lost.

I was about to apply as a building manager. But then I didn’t get a GC. 😡
