Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Every contract is structured by the party awarding it; there is no DIN EN 08154711 trade account law. Often, the self-managing homeowner prefers to leave each trade responsible for providing their own necessary small equipment. The roofer naturally won’t want to appear more expensive just because they rent the scaffolding until the painter is finished. So no one looks out for anyone else, and chaos follows every time.

No, that’s exactly it: they may need it, but they are not grateful, so they are left to deal with it themselves. Everyone is their neighbor’s worst enemy, as my late grandmother used to say.

From my experience, assembling and dismantling the scaffolding costs roughly the same as keeping it up for two months. Since multiple trades benefit from it, this procedure makes little sense and results in unnecessary extra expenses for the homeowner. Also, not every craftsman brings their own portable toilet.

You know it, I know it. Unfortunately, for quite a few inexperienced private clients, "penny wise, pound foolish" applies.

2 months? We are talking about at least 5 to 6 months. However, the days when scaffolding could be left up for months are over. Additionally, here all scaffolding is removed.

Since I have received a lot of useful information in this forum (special thanks again here to @Escroda), I would like to share a few pictures of our construction project.

Construction started a few weeks ago, and now the ground floor is built.
This is the view from the future sofa.

You could already pull the weeds on the sidewalk and sweep the street even though your cleaning week is not until next week; it looks really bad.
