it's not about a dark shade ...in a way it is. Any color other than pure white is essentially darker and is therefore affected by the "darkening effect."
Many years ago, we chose what was then considered very modern "light blue." We moved further up the color scale toward lighter shades, which was a good decision. Shortly after the plastering was done, I stood in front of the house feeling like crying—it looked like a swimming pool.
After some time, it improved and eventually looked good.
The best approach is to have seen the color on an actual house somewhere and get the color code from there.

Alessandro7 Aug 2020 09:38The fact that all colors generally appear darker on a surface than they do on color samples is already a very useful observation!
Whether they necessarily appear darker, I’m not sure. But they definitely look more "solid," which can quickly make it feel a bit overwhelming for some. You can counteract this by choosing a slightly lighter shade, which then appears less solid. That’s how I would describe it.

Additionally, surface texture plays a role—did you receive an actual sample panel?
But yes, in general, everything tends to look darker over time because it gets dirty.
What I can only recommend is having samples made.
We received samples of our color selection (4 colors), each about 80cm x 30cm (31 inches x 12 inches). We took each sample around the house and held them up against the windows—in sunlight, in the shade, and so on.
You wouldn't believe how much the colors change depending on location, angle, and lighting.

Alessandro7 Aug 2020 14:17My house will be white.
It’s mainly about the carport, which is integrated with a covering at the entrance to the house.
I want to highlight this area with a different color.
Together with the anthracite-colored windows, which match the interior window sills, I find this color combination very harmonious:
