Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Definitely a really sharp piece. I wouldn’t care at all if it even opens, as long as it looks great. Congratulations; where did you find it?
Also, perfect for burglary protection. Burglars are usually pretty dumb anyway; everyone just walks past it.

We got the door from a local front door manufacturer. I’m happy to send you a personal message. The search for a manufacturer was a long process .

There is also a corner window hidden beneath the side cladding.

We are still miles away from moving in...

But your carpentry work is a dream! It’s going to look amazing!! We feel completely drained. Everywhere we look, there are still construction sites.

Very nice stealth door, @Solveigh. I like confident decisions.

Additionally, it provides excellent burglary protection. Burglars are usually not very smart; they just walk right past it.
Good thing I didn’t become a burglar.

It looks pretty cool, though.
Yes, definitely. I think so too, but I would be confused the first time for sure.

And now it’s finished. We are quite satisfied. Although we planned it mostly with functional aspects in mind (base cabinet with waste sorting system, kitchen island with sink, many drawers, built-up dishwasher), it can also easily become an untouched show kitchen.

By the way, apart from two missing fronts, there was nothing to complain about.

Really a very nice kitchen.
May I ask how wide your "cooking niche" is, opalau? Is it 2 meters (6.5 feet)?
