Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Looks neat.
Is that all the LAN you have? Seems very little to me.

Yes, that's all the LAN. There are a total of 22 CAT7 cables. Additionally, there are surface-mounted cables for the heat pump and the IP interface for the bus system. So, by chance, a 24-port switch fits perfectly.

The shower area is finally complete 🙂.

The recessed spots in the niche plus ceiling downlights provide general lighting.
An LED strip in the niche along with two wall and ceiling lights each create a cozy atmosphere.

Large walk-in shower with gray tiles; niche with three downlights, rain showerhead, and hand shower.

Very nice. Planning something similar in terms of appearance. I have two questions:

How did you install the LED strip, where is it connected, and how was the waterproofing handled?
Which faucet manufacturer and color combination is that? We have chosen the Brushed Black series from Hansgrohe. It looks similar.

The LED strip is embedded in a flexible, coated tube (something like silicone). This tube is inserted into a stainless steel tile profile and fits in like it’s cast in place. You can cut the tile profile to any length. The LED strip can be cut every 25mm (1 inch).

Our niche is masonry-built, and cables run behind it (I pulled the cables before the niche was built) to the attic (see photos). In the attic, they’re connected to a transformer. So, the shower/wet area only has 12 volts. Definitely a fun project until it was finished 😀
