Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

As long as no idiot weaves plastic strips into it, a welded wire mesh fence is neutral in taste and suitable as a trellis.

I still think a fence made of simple untreated wooden slats looks the best. Is it always absolutely necessary to have foundations for such a wooden slat fence?

It should be significantly less costly than a WPC privacy screen, especially without foundations, right!?

Yes, a slatted fence would be the more affordable option. However, I think foundations are necessary in any case. WPC is definitely the "luxury version," but it doesn’t require traditional maintenance.

I meant something more natural and untreated. Or with slats of equal thickness.

That looks nice. However, we would prefer to have a real privacy screen.

Alright, then we misunderstood each other. This of course only serves the purpose of a "fence" function.
For example, I don’t find WPC / composite materials appealing or suitable as a "luxury option."
