Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

I find it fascinating how quickly they raise the shell of the building...
Once the roof is on, unfortunately, for a while there won’t be much visible progress at first glance.

Yes, we were also amazed. We are curious to see what we will find tomorrow. They plan to start interior work as early as May 12th. That seems completely unrealistic to me, but I’m sure they know what they are talking about.

News from the lawn front...

I’m definitely no botanist, but this is really grass now.

Green lawn with two round metal covers; fence and houses in the background.

Modern white detached house with dark roof and open front door, green lawn area in front.

It’s truly amazing—at first, it barely got going, but now it feels like you can see changes by the hour.

Very nice. We have the same thing coming up in the next few weeks. I’m a bit nervous about whether it will work out.

Preparation is everything. Try to make everything as smooth as possible. Rake in the grass seeds or cover them with additional soil. Otherwise, the birds will eat them all again.
You can also apply starter fertilizer, but I didn’t do that.

Beforehand, test your sprinkler to make sure you can reach all areas from the outside if you don’t have an automatic irrigation system yet.

Once the lawn is in, water, water, and water again. But don’t turn it into a swimming pool or everything will rot. In my case, the soil has stayed moist since planting.
