So now we have 120x120cm (48x48 inches) grate tiles everywhere. It looks like a butcher shop... the niche being 5cm (2 inches) wider and then squeezing in that piece doesn’t help... but maybe it will look different once it's finished.

Alessandro18 Mar 2020 13:12It’s a matter of personal taste, as everywhere. I wanted something different and away from the standard designs. Of course, you can never really know how the final result will look when buying tiles.

We didn’t go for the usual standard in our guest WC either; there is a black toilet and a matching matte black sink. I’m curious to see how it will turn out. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing photos when it’s ready.

Honestly, I think it looks pretty nice, especially combined with the warm wooden appearance.That was the picture from the hardware store.
There was also a wood stove installed in the wall recess.
