Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Uh... in-floor heating in the respective ceiling

Thanks, I didn’t know that was possible. No idea why it was done like that in our case.

Oh dear, you shouldn’t install those in the screed; in my opinion, that’s a big mistake! But unfortunately, it’s too late now.

Don’t be so hard on me. :-(

Why do you think it’s a mistake?

Sorry to say this, especially after bookstar criticized your ventilation. But the electrical installation, specifically placing the cables in the corner like that, is not acceptable, at least that’s what I heard here last week. Electrical cables in a conduit 20cm (8 inches) away from the wall are compliant. I didn’t know this myself a week ago and even praised the clean installation shown in the photos of another forum user.

Yes, I’m aware of that and have discussed it with the electrician. Normally, he wouldn’t route the cables so close to the edge. However, due to the ventilation ducts and in coordination with the plumbing specialist, they chose this path. They wanted to avoid the cables and ducts crossing each other constantly.

My electrician also ran the electrical installation through empty conduit pipes in the ceilings. There are no electrical cables on the unfinished floor at all. I didn’t even know this was possible. Somehow, they all seem smarter than me, and here I come with my YouTube tutorial manuals. :-p
