Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

Oh yes.... The work by some of the very, very expensive contractors would be interesting to see. It’s honestly quite outrageous that some spend up to 100,000 euros on landscaping. Admittedly, I couldn’t and wouldn’t afford that. But of course, to each their own.

What does this have to do with being excessive? A garden of that size, filled with technology like lighting and irrigation systems, ponds, pools or streams, natural stone walls, paved paths, even on a slope with steps, can quickly cost six figures if you have everything professionally done.

So what? Who are you to call someone who can and wants to afford that excessive? I find that very strange, and it ultimately leads to people no longer wanting to share their expensive builds here – which I think is a shame, since I can't afford it myself but enjoy looking at them.

Have you ever looked at gardens like Schönbrunn or Sanssouci? Over the top? Beautiful? I say beautiful.

Please read carefully again:
I never said that the person who spends these amounts is excessive; I consider these amounts to be excessive.
That is my personal opinion, and I stand by it.

I also say that anyone who can and wants to afford it is free to do so.

This is actually also expressed in the last sentence, "to each their own."

And yes... I do enjoy looking at such high-priced systems.
So, all good.

The concrete raised beds were installed before planting and before the lawn was seeded.

So maybe it’s time for a dedicated garden photos thread after all…. I don’t see why gardens should only be shown in connection with the houses.
