The sill height of the kitchen window, which has now been installed, seems too high to me. However, I didn’t have a tape measure with me. The sill height is specified as 1.25 m (4 feet 1 inch). The bottom edge of the opening reaches my shoulder, and I am 1.89 m (6 feet 2 inches) tall. That fits. 189 cm (6 feet 2 inches) minus 30 cm (12 inches) for the head minus at least 10 cm (4 inches) for the neck/shoulder makes the shoulder height 150 cm (5 feet). 150 cm (5 feet) minus 125 cm (4 feet 1 inch) leaves 25 cm (10 inches), which would be a substantial floor buildup—we have 24 cm (9 inches). So it could work.

Our shell construction is now finished, and I finally have time to share some pictures here.
It will be a 2.5-story flat roof house with a setback top floor and a rooftop terrace, plus a 6x9m (20x30 ft) double garage, without a basement. Living area is approximately 240 sqm (2,583 sq ft).
The setback floor was built as a timber frame structure for structural reasons and was installed last week. The rest is made of 36.5 cm (14 inches) Poroton T7 blocks, filled with perlite.
From the top, there’s a nice view as the house is located partly on a slope and nearly at the highest point in the village.
The interior photo shows the open kitchen with dining area (36 sqm / 387 sq ft), looking past the staircase towards the living room. There is a 5-meter (16 ft) window front on the right side, where a large sliding door will soon be installed.
And here is an older photo taken from the rear, showing the kitchen/dining area on the left and the living room on the right. At that time, the crane was still present and the setback floor had not yet been added.

That will be a beautiful house. I don’t see any reinforced concrete in the walls or corners. Is it not needed for the structural support?
Now it’s my turn to share a few pictures. We are building a townhouse with two bay windows, just under 180 sqm (1,940 sq ft) of living space, a large garage measuring 6 x 10 m (20 x 33 ft), and a basement replacement room. Currently, the trades are working on the structural shell for electrical, plumbing, and heating systems. The roof is fully covered, with only the garage roof still missing. Next, windows will be installed on June 6, followed by interior plastering on June 11. The expected move-in date is sometime in October, once we have finished our own work and the kitchen can be delivered.
