Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

After May 2015:

In the cast-in-place concrete slab, electrical cables definitely need to be installed in conduit...

I completely agree with you! Our architect wanted to just lay the underground cables directly into the precast concrete slabs, which would basically be allowed.

Are you running sheath cables or single conductors inside the conduit? In principle, both options are possible within conduit. We find single conductors might be somewhat easier to replace later on since they are less rigid, if that should ever become necessary.

We are finally getting started as well. The concrete slab will be poured on Monday.

Will your property remain the only house?

Left and right, but nothing behind.

After about 8 months of construction, the move is now underway.

I found the building phase to be both enjoyable and challenging. I was on site almost every day to follow the progress.

Here are a few photos.
Guest bathroom, children's room, and kitchen....

White rocking horse with reins on round mat in empty room next to window, wooden floor.

Modern bathroom with shower behind glass partition, sink on the left and toilet on the right.

Modern white kitchen with island, wooden countertop, sink by the window, and oven.

Was the floor transition in the kitchen planned like this? It looks a bit strange.
Are baseboards going to be installed in the children's room as well?
Otherwise, I think it looks good.
