Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Oh, that would be such a waste of space for just one person to have such a huge house.
Has the question or explanation already been discussed somewhere as to why steel is used instead of wood?

The house will almost certainly not be red. That was just the initial idea from our architect.
I would also go for red.

With a comfortable budget, an "unemployed person" is called a "private investor" by the way

If it were a pure timber structure, we would still need vertical support beams in the living areas, which would take up a lot of space. I can explain this again later using the floor plan.

So, here are some new impressions from the construction site. It’s incredible how the sense of space changes once the ceiling is in place.

Unfinished concrete steps at a construction site, white brick walls, pallets on the floor.

Interior of a construction site: wooden ladder, white aerated concrete blocks, stair steps, scaffolding

Construction site: unfinished interior with white blocks, scaffolding, ladder, and pallets.

Construction site roof with styrofoam blocks, steel beams, and construction boards; forest and river in the background.

Great! A perfect example of how requirements dictate the construction, not the other way around.

Hello again,

I didn’t want to keep this from you....

Today I stood in front of our property again, and the play of colors instantly calmed me down.....

@Haus ...transform yourself

Joke, I think this thread can handle more photos again 8-) .

Best regards
