Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Sh**t, where did it come in?

The ground around the house is very hard and dry and currently has a slight slope due to initial earthworks, which caused everything to be pushed toward the house. As a result, the house was standing in a small pool of water, and the water probably flowed in through the terrace and construction door.

There will probably still be something (deliberately) left open regarding the quantity...?

EDIT: Ugh :-(

No, nothing was left open. We had a severe storm here yesterday that uprooted entire trees, flooded road tunnels, and caused streets to overflow like flash floods.
I currently have no idea how we can dry everything out without a significant delay.
The electrician and Sami at least say that their current work is not being hindered.
This is really unfortunate...

Off to the hardware store to buy a suitable pump to get the worst of the water outside. Then talk to the site manager about the moisture situation and, if necessary, start building drying.

This has already been set in motion.
The photos are from this morning, taken by our architect. She has already spent 2 hours using a wet/dry vacuum to remove most of it.
It looks better now.
She will discuss the best way to proceed.
I’m more concerned about the masonry. This aerated concrete is like a sponge.
Well, she will now check if some kind of dehumidification can be carried out.
