I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

leave part of it as a wildflower meadow?
Mowing twice a year saves a lot of time and looks nice, it would suit a well-established garden.

On my parents' street, someone created a flower and bee meadow. All the lawns were brown, but the meadow was colorful. In the summer

Our lawn was also nicely green, as were the golf course fairways around us—but only with plenty of water. I didn’t water anything.

As long as irrigation is still allowed.

My decision regarding the mower is made. It will be a mulching mower with a reliable gasoline engine and wheel drive. Possibly again from Al Ko, since our old one from Alko lasted about 10 years, which is quite good for around 350 euros.

Now it’s here. The carrier delivered it. Husqvarna 248 S. 163 cc Briggs and Stratton engine with quick-start ignition. Wheel drive up to 4.5 km/h (2.8 mph). 48 cm (19 inches) cutting width. Steel deck and ergonomic handlebar. Bioclip mower deck. Reduced from 469,- to 384,- delivered free. I’m so excited. Soon, very soon, I’ll be able to fill it up and start it. From tomorrow the days will get longer again. Things are looking up. The lawn will start growing again soon, and light, air, and sun will help both the lady of the house and me to bloom. The Husqvarna stays below 100 decibels, what a relief for the street. For the first run, I’ll treat it to a few liters of Shell V-Power, then it will take off like a rocket. Hurrah.

How wonderful that even in you, otherwise so sensible and kind forum members, there lives an enthusiastic child at heart. Very charming!
