I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Yesterday, I read in a newspaper article that one lawn mower could basically be shared by 7 (in words: seven) households because lawn areas are getting smaller anyway, yet every homeowner insists on having their own mower.

You might want to ask your neighbors what they think about this.

As other ecological options, the article mentioned flower meadows as well as sheep, and even rabbits, whose outdoor enclosure is moved every other day to keep the lawn short. I wouldn’t recommend chickens, though, as they tend to turn your lawn into a wreck.

I think it’s really cool that only 7 households need one lawn mower. There’s even an app where tools can be shared. But like with many things in life, who is responsible or who repairs it if it breaks?

There are bantam chicken breeds that hardly scratch. However, they will not keep the grass short.

First. Everyone has their own, paragraph one says so.
Second, either gasoline or spindle.
Third, chickens, sheep, cows are not allowed. Donkeys neither, since there is already one in the house whose name starts with K.
Fourth, iaa. Ka

Instead of planting grass, grow potatoes.

Or? Does anyone here have a sickle mower like that?

At our Kiekeberg Museum, there are sickle mowing courses.
