I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Yes, I can relate to that as well. In many ways, it simply isn’t sustainable anymore when you consider resource usage. Sharing is one solution, and renting when needed is another.
For example, I love classic cars and appreciate that there are people who take on the responsibility so I don’t have to own one myself. I could rent one occasionally – but apparently it’s not that important since I ultimately don’t do it.
When we moved into our new house, we gave away, gifted, and disposed of far more items than we took with us. It was a great feeling.

We will soon finally move into the new home. This year, there probably won’t be much time for the garden, but I’m already thinking about it. We have 1400 m² (15,070 sq ft). Is a robotic mower suitable for an area that size?

Why only grass on the area?

There is also a lot of other space. We bought an existing property, so it is already quite overgrown. There is a pond with generous steps around it, many trees (fruit and others), and on one side of the plot, a lot is covered with ivy. Additionally, there is a large driveway, etc., but there is still quite a bit of grass to mow, which will definitely require some work. I’m considering whether a robot mower would be practical.

1400 sqm (15067 sq ft), mowed at least once a week. Definitely an argument for a robotic lawn mower.
How large is your plot?

The 1400 already includes the entire plot, so it’s actually around 1430 or so. I don’t remember exactly what needs to be deducted for the house and so on to get the actual garden area.
Can anyone recommend a robo mower?
