HilfeHilfe4 Oct 2016 21:46We wanted to scarify and apply fertilizer. In two weeks, we will go on vacation, so the lawn can thrive afterwards. Is it worth reseeding problem areas now, or is it better to wait until spring?
We aerated and fertilized the weekend before last.
However, when aerating, I only set the machine to the medium depth level, and because the lawn was so dense, I didn’t really reach the soil but mostly removed the old grass. So, we didn’t need to reseed.
A small tip:
If you only have a small collection basket on your aerator, it’s better to remove it and then go over the lawn later with a mower that has a large collection basket to pick everything up. Otherwise, you will have to empty the basket every 3 meters (about 10 feet). People often underestimate how much material comes out.

Fertilizing before winter????It is recommended because the lawn becomes quite weakened by aeration.H
HilfeHilfe5 Oct 2016 07:33Thank you very much for the information. Yes, exactly, we received the same recommendation. Good, we also bought a XXXXXXL sack full of fertilizer on eBay, as well as seeds. At this point, the quantity no longer matters.
