I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

I don’t actively do anything against dandelions in our garden. Bees and other insects like them, they don’t bother me, and the neighbors don’t mind either. But we have very tolerant neighbors who aren’t particularly interested in gardening. Many people, however, actively fight plants like dandelions and would definitely be upset if a neighbor also cultivated them.
I let almost everything that is beautiful and useful grow in my meadow. I also allow all kinds of thistles, and I mow carefully around them. Since then, I have many lovely different thistle species with beautiful flowers, and bumblebees especially love them. But when you have neighbors who get stressed out by every "weed"...

I’m fighting it with everything the gardener’s chemical cabinet has to offer. A lawn should only have grass, nothing else; otherwise, it’s not a lawn but a pasture,Yes, it seems I’ll have to come to terms with it. I don’t want to have conflicts with neighbors because of this.P

You don’t have to plant it directly, but you can simply create, or let develop, a natural meadow that is very bee-friendly and trendy. That way, the dandelion grows in its natural habitat.A natural meadow would probably be even less accepted than a dandelion patch. In a natural meadow, there are other plants as well, which are often considered weeds and rejected.Nordlys schrieb:
I fight it with everything available in the gardener’s chemical storage. Does it actually get cavities then?
