How long should the boards withstand exposure to the weather?

Our rabbits are almost eating the hair off our heads. Meanwhile, the sparrows have discovered the enclosure and join the rabbits for breakfast whenever there is dry food. Fortunately, there is still plenty of dandelion and other treats available in the meadow.

A very long time. They are properly treated for weather resistance 😀

As I mentioned before, I am currently working on the slope in our garden. The boards to contain the wood chips have been installed. Additionally, weed control fabric was laid over the upper two-thirds.

The boards have since been improved. Now we just need to add more wood chips.

Another project involves our garden shed. Since the weather is suitable this week, it will be reroofed.

The boards probably won’t last much longer than 2 to 3 years, right? How is this intended to work? Wood chips and fabric won’t really be compatible either.

Because over time they slip. Birds land on them, peck, dig around, and then they start to slide.

Because earth and wood are far from ideal, the treatment doesn’t last forever and then the wood rots. The wood chips slide off, I have tried something like that before as well.
