I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Who do you get something like this done by? And what does it approximately cost? In our case, it was done by the Lindlar Greywacke Manufactory. I don’t know the exact costs, but we had many walls and a slope retaining structure built on our property. What I especially like is the idea that the stone in the wall is the same greywacke as the foundation of our house and comes from a local quarry just 4 km (2.5 miles) away. There are landscaping companies that have great expertise with stone and specialize in stonework. Always check references beforehand, since the differences in quality are much greater than the differences in price.
I have been growing ornamental allium in my garden since this year. Since I have no experience with it, I want to tap into your collective knowledge: Should the spent flower heads be cut off, or is it like with tulips, where you wait until everything has withered and the bulb has absorbed all nutrients from the foliage?
Right now, the spent flowers still look quite nice with their green seed heads, but once they wilt, it probably won’t be a very attractive sight anymore.
