I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Alternative: Reusing old masonry techniques

Should it then be compacted layer by layer afterward? Will it eventually outgrow the masonry? I find it very attractive.

No, it is not compacted behind, as something should still be able to grow there, but there is drainage.

That might happen in this area; on the larger walls, we planted wall vegetation (I don’t have a photo right now).

Thank you.

Germany 3 Points – today I would be very satisfied with that.

Our initial attempt to make the slope accessible:

Garden path with small stone steps, surrounded by trimmed trees and wooden fence.

Boards will be added to prevent the wood chips from slipping. The slabs are quite thick and still need to be fitted properly.

The lawn is also growing well, although somewhat unevenly:

Garden bed framed by stones, mulch soil with small shrubs; grass area in the foreground.

(the ‘grave’ is still subject to various improvements)

Admittedly, if I had done it myself, it would have turned out a bit rougher...

Who do people usually hire to do this? And approximately how much does it cost?
