I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

The seeds partly do not survive the current heat. It is too warm for them. The small green shoots get damaged. So don’t call it burning. I am not talking about the lens effect.
The ideal conditions are a soil temperature of at least 10°C (50°F) and an air temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F). We are well above that. For grass seed, spring or autumn is better suited.

Keeping it constantly moist works even in this weather. Manual watering is difficult. Or you have to stay in the garden all day...
It’s true that it’s not ideal. Planting in the autumn usually works better.
Last night we had 16L/m2 (0.4 inches) of rain in a short time. A few thousand liters went into the cistern again, and there’s no need to water today 🙂

Succulents – like many other plants – should not be overwatered! Their roots won’t develop properly and they become delicate.

This also clearly explains our shortcomings in raising our two boys... so it’s not just succulents (I had to look it up 😀 thanks for the term).

For us, it was less. It will probably need to be watered again. Although I have a reservation at the city beach at 6 p.m. There might be some rain after all.

Our drought-resistant grass cover struggles with germination and growth. It doesn't establish well, whether in autumn or spring. But what does grow manages well under strong sun and without irrigation. I will probably only use that grass. My goal is not a golf-course lawn.

That goal sounds achievable.
Growing edible plants is really enjoyable.
