I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Well, it can really be annoying, and I don’t understand people who play music loudly in the garden. We also have music on, but it’s set so quietly that after about five steps, I can hardly hear it anymore. I can understand it when there’s a party, but not every day.
However, we also speak relatively quietly in the garden. I don’t want to disturb anyone, and at the same time, I’m not interested in nosy neighbors.
From painful experience, I know that neighbors can be terrible.
I have neighbors like that on both sides now. That’s also why I listen to music in the garden—to keep myself distracted.
I don’t have any advice, except try not to fixate on it. As I said, I know this situation myself, and even the smallest noise can be enough to trigger aggression if you already don’t get along with your neighbors.

Would he be okay with me asking him to use headphones in the garden? kati1337 schrieb:
I keep accidentally pulling the cable out or dropping my phone from my pocket onto the ground, or I get tangled in the cable and almost trip. I really dislike in-ear headphones. Why should he have a different experience? Why would he, if you yourself say it’s annoying?

However, we also tend to speak fairly quietly in the garden. I don’t want to blast music, but I also don’t want nosy neighbors. Same here: it’s just my husband and me, and as an introverted couple, we keep things quiet. If we’re loud, it’s usually inside the house, not outside.
Recently while camping: we were lying on the lounge chairs, and visitors arrived next door. Then there were four of them. Loud laughter, beer and sparkling wine, extensive conversations about the brother-in-law’s cheating, her behavior, and so on. It reminded me of a comedy show.
I thought my husband was asleep. But when he whispered to me giggling, “I’m going to get us some soft drinks now, so we can enjoy the commotion from the front row,” we ended up amused by their conversations for over an hour. Eventually I dozed off 😀

That would be one option, for example. After 10 pmSunday, so not necessarily waiting until 10 pm

Sunday, so you don’t necessarily have to wait until 10 pm (22:00)If you’re a stickler, then also at 8:15 pm (20:15) for the crime drama 😉Similar topics
