I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

We also have plenty of zucchini. The ones that have grown a bit too large, I like to pickle as quick pickles – it’s fast, ready to eat after two days, and nicely refreshing. It doesn’t matter if the zucchini themselves are a bit bland in flavor.

The cucumbers in the greenhouse are slowly giving up; they probably just lacked enough warmth. Constantly overcast and rainy weather is not good at all... I’ll also have to get rid of the tomatoes behind the house and in the garden bed. They are all soft and limp. The ones in the greenhouse are struggling as well. Only the five plants in front of the house are producing well. On the other hand, this year is great for radishes in all varieties, sweet corn, and beans 🙂 Onions and leeks are also growing very well.

We are currently harvesting Mediterranean fruits straight from the tree.

I love figs… I even planted a fig tree (Bavarian fig) myself. However, it’s barely growing, and the fruits are still very small. Please show your little tree.

Now we really have a cozy spot:
@Climbee Now that everything is green, it has become really beautiful. I really like the combination of wood, stone, and all the greenery. The seating area looks comfortable and sheltered; it’s a place where you’d want to sit for a long time.

Why did you leave the window open in the woodpile near the troublesome neighbor? Or do I remember the situation incorrectly?

Well, we don’t have to confront them aggressively. The window is definitely illegal, and I have made it clear to them that I am aware of this. But it’s inside their garage, so no one is constantly looking out from there. Therefore, we don’t really care. As a friendly gesture, we chose to leave the window open. I also think it looks quite nice that way.
If they ever do cause trouble, we can close it immediately.
But for now, everything is peaceful—so why create a conflict?
