I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

When can you expect figs to start bearing fruit? Do you need both male and female plants? Both male and female flowers are needed here. However, pollination works differently, involving a specific species of wasp. These trees would not produce fruit in Germany. On Sunday, I spent some more time planting in the garden. The plants had been in pots for a few weeks already, and the butterfly bush was starting to really droop. Today, it seems to be doing better again.
Before and after: Our small bed in front of the house, once on May 9 (right after planting) and once on August 15. 🙂

All these plants have now been moved into the bed. Freshly planted on the left, the two pictures on the right show them slightly recovered, two days later.
Another before-and-after. The rose tree is really a major win. At first, I was worried it wouldn’t get enough sun there, but it has been blooming really well for months since I planted it. A dream.
