And grass snakes are completely harmless and very shy. I’m hoping she stays with us for a while. Yesterday, I was able to watch her for half an hour as she tried hunting in different ways.
A fascinating animal.
But the “risk” of having such an animal around is really very low. You would almost have to turn it into a fully natural habitat.

But the “risk” of having such an animal around is really minimal. You’d have to turn your place into a natural habitat for that. Yes, I know they don’t do anything. I have a strong fear of anything that looks like a snake. When I was little, I accidentally stepped on one, and it hissed at me (understandably), which left a lasting impression.
We’ve just started to see the first individual berries here.
The roses are blooming so heavily that some of the first branches have already broken. And the scent is amazing.
The tomatoes are beginning to flower. They’re still relatively small, although catching up well, and very sturdy. So far, the stakes are just decorative.
The chili harvest will be very small, as slugs have eaten almost all the plants.
