I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Take the paper off. I recently received one as a gift, which was planted in a very unusual soil—it was heavy and didn’t absorb water.
I would place it approximately under similar conditions as it was in the store. If it was kept indoors there, I would put it by the window; if it was kept outdoors, I would put it outside again. Be careful, though, it might get quite chilly during the next few nights.

It was outside in the store, but it’s quite possible they brought it indoors at night. Should I probably do the same?
Should I water it?

Of course. If the soil is dry, water it. Flowering plants always need plenty of water.

Exactly, water only when dry. It looks like mine, which had that strange soil. I watered it daily until I repotted it.

Taking it outside during the day and bringing it back in at night sounds good.

We have a new roommate in the garden pond. Now the frogs are living on the edge.

A snake slithering through green reed grasses at the water’s edge.

Snake moving through reeds by the water at the shore.

Uaaaaha. Note to self: Never, but really never, plan a garden pond.

No, seriously, don’t. Dad can take the kids to the reptile house, and I’ll treat myself to a chocolate ice cream and a Tavor in the meantime.
