I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Speaking of flies: those tiny dung flies that immediately attack and seem to try to get into your mouth, nose, ears, eyes, etc.—what are these annoying pests called, where do they come from, and what can you do to get rid of them?

I just noticed daffodils being offered at an 80% discount from an online retailer. Of course, the planting time is actually in autumn. My question is: Is there a way to store the bulbs safely over the summer so they can be planted in the fall?

It should work. Store them in a dark, cool, and dry place. They must not warp, develop mold, or rot.

.. loses very few leaves and doesn’t have an extensive root system, that’s exactly what I’m looking for as well
