The buckets can also smell quite strongly when new. However, that fades over time.When I need large containers, I now only buy these mortar tubs. I almost have a panic attack every time I pass by them in the hardware store, and I have to keep my car window open when I transport them, but I really can't justify paying nearly a three-digit amount for a container of this size.

Fummelbrett!22 May 2022 14:54I bought large planter boxes for various tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, ground cherries, and so on – they don’t look amazing, but they’re better than mortar tubs. And they don’t smell 🙂 They’re also reasonably priced – if I remember correctly, they were about 10 euros each.
